Pixar Animation Studios just announced the pitch forelemental, as well as a first concept art. It will be their 27th animated film and its release is already scheduled for the summer of 2023. It will be directed by Peter Sohn (Arlo’s Journey) and produced by Denise Ream, who also worked on the little dino film. What will he talk about? About an unlikely couple, Ember and Wade, embarked on a city where the people – fire, water, earth and air – live together. This enthusiastic young woman and this discreet young man are about to discover something elementary: what they have in common.

Pixar movies from worst to best
The director explains for the occasion thatelemental is inspired by his own childhood in New York. “My parents emigrated from Korea in the early 1970s and set up a grocery store in the Bronx, explains Peter Sohn. We were one of those families who ventured into a new country with dreams and hopes – all mixed together in a great bath of cultures and languages in pretty little neighborhoods. This is what led me to elemental. Our story is inspired by the natural elements – fire, water, earth and air. Some elements mix with each other and some do not. What if these elements were alive?
Before discovering this project, the next Pixar animated film to be released in theaters will be Buzz Lightning, expected on June 22. Here is its trailer:
