The Tenet actor is unrecognizable as the British Prime Minister!
Courted as a director (we recently owe him Death on the Nile and Belfast), Kenneth Branagh is also as an actor. The star actor of the Royal Shakespeare Company plays in his own films (Murder on the Orient Express, All is True…), and he has been seen lately in Dunkirk (2017) and tenet (2020), by Christopher Nolan. Before finding the director for Oppenheimerhe returns this week in the first teaser of ThisEngland, a five-part mini-series from the British channel SkyTV. Be careful, you will have a hard time recognizing him, since he underwent hours of make-up to be transformed into Boris Johnson, the Prime Minister of the UK.

Belfast: Kenneth Branagh’s disappointing homecoming [critique]
This political show by Michael Winterbottom (The Trip, Greed) will look back on Johnson’s much-criticized handling of the COVID-19 outbreak, as well as his equally controversial Brexit-related decisions. Ophelia Lovibond (feel good) will star Carrie Johnson and Andrew Buchan (The Crown) will be his secretary of state for health, Matt Hancock. Several stories told in the media by scientists and doctors will also be at the heart of ThisEngland, which should soon be offered to the British public. It is not yet known if the series will be broadcast in France.
