Ewan McGregor admits being terrorized by Darth Vader on the set of Obi-Wan Kenobi

“I found myself again in the skin of a little boy of 7 years…”

In the new series Star Wars from Disney+, the Obi-Wan Kenobi ofEWan McGregor will actually face Darth Vader. This was not the case in the three episodes of the prelogy, in which the Jedi master faced Anakin Skywalker.

This time, Hayden Christensen embodies the Sith Lord in armor, at the height of his power, ten years after the events of Revenge of the Sith. And it will be genuinely scary, if McGregor is to be believed:

“In the three movies we did, I didn’t work with Darth Vader,” first remembers the British comedian, guest last night of the English program The One Show, before revealing that Obi-Wan will face his former Padawan well in the future series:

Palpatine back in Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi?

“The first scene we had to do together, we were rehearsing and Hayden wasn’t wearing the helmet. But when it was time to shoot, I actually found myself face to face with Vader and I had a tremor of absolute fear… In the scene, he comes behind me… I turn around and there, I swear to you, I had this jolt of fear. Like a real fear. I had never had that as an actor before. I felt found again in the skin of a little boy of 7 years…”

Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi will launch on May 27 on Disney+.
