“They are back ! And it seems impossible – first we announce a new Doctor, then an old Doctor with the wonderful Donna. What is happening ? Maybe it’s a missing story. Or a parallel world. Or a dream, or a trick or a flashback. The only thing I can confirm is that it’s going to be spectacular, as two of our biggest stars come together for the battle of their lives.“, already tease showrunner Russell T Davies in a press release.
David Tennant portrayed the Tenth Doctor for three seasons and nine specials between 2005 and 2010. He’s been a fan favorite ever since and when we last saw his version, he and Donna Noble (Tate) parted ways after having his memory erased in order to to save his life. He left his family with a warning: “if she ever remembers anything from their travels together, she will die…”
let’s remember that David Tennant previously reprized his role in 2013 as part of the show’s 50th anniversary, teaming up with fellow Doctor, Matt Smith.
